Day 4: Morning Departure for Meteora via Ancient Delphi
Today you will check out of your Athens hotel and proceed to the ancient archaeological site of Delphi, long ago considered to be the birthplace of the world. After your visit to Delphi you will have lunch in a traditional tavern in the mountain village of Arachova. From there you will drive north up to the Larissa Plateau where the most fertile valley in Greece meets with the fabled Pindos Mountains. After you have checked into your hotel and finished your early dinner, you will be transferred to the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Meteora where your tour guide will provide you access to vantage points from where to best take in the magic hour in this, one of Greece’s most magical and mythical spots. The combination of stunning landscapes, physics-defying architecture and historical significance lend an almost spiritual emotion to this location. This day and evening will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your trip. Overnight in Kalambaka

This volcanic eruption is what created the world-famous Caldera (volcanic crater) , of which Santorini is a part of. The ancient archaeological site of Akrotiri was home to a famous Minoan society. The town itself has been under excavation since 1967 and offers visitors a unique glimpse into the daily life of its citizens.
